Additional module for MDV touch 200 and MDV touch 300 electrosurgery units
The MD Argon is used to carry out procedures using argon plasma coagulation. This procedure is characterized by the fact that only superficial carbonization of the tissue occurs and deeper tissue layers are spared.
We also offer a comprehensive range of Monopolar argon electrodes. Since the MD Argon is used in monopolar mode, a patient plateis also required during an operation.
Argon plasma coagulation is used to stop internal bleeding and remove tumors. Argon plasma coagulation is a procedure in which tissue is obliterated with the help of ionised argon gas. It is primarily used for haemostasis and coagulation.
In argon plasma coagulation, the current is transmitted via an ionised argon gas jet, whereby the heat generated leads to protein denaturation. The argon gas removes the oxygen from the coagulated tissue, thereby achieving perfect coagulation and preventing the coagulated tissue from burning.
