An Endernagel is a special surgical nail used in the surgical treatment of fractures of the femoral neck, especially for fractures close to the hip joint. It is a flexible steel nail that is inserted retrograde into the medullary cavity of the bone from the femoral condyles to stabilize the fracture. This procedure often allows for earlier full weight-bearing after surgery.
The nail has a diameter of 4.5 mm and is available from us in lengths from 240 mm to 500 mm.
