Intramedullary nails are implants used in the treatment of bone fractures, especially long tubular bones. The nail is inserted into the medullary cavity of the bone, enabling stable fixation of the fracture and, consequently, better wound healing. The Küntscher nail in particular was developed by surgeon Gerhard Küntscher and is an important milestone in trauma surgery.
We offer Küntscher nails for treating both the femur and the tibia. These are available in various lengths from 14 to 77 cm and in diameters from 6 to 18 cm.
