The femoral nail is a surgical implant used in the treatment of thigh bone fractures, so called femoral fractures. It is an intramedullary nail that is inserted into the medullary cavity of the bone to reconnect and stabilize the fracture.
The tibial nail, also known as a shin bone nail, is also a surgical implant that is inserted into the bone marrow cavity of the tibia to stabilize fractures and hold the bone fragments in their correct position, thereby promoting better wound healing.
